When Grandma left five years ago, one of the odd strange things I had to adjust to was referring to their home as Grandpa’s henceforth. Today, when we were leaving the crematorium, I had to call it 大马 (the location name).

A week ago, we set out for a regular visit to see Grandpa. Along the way, Mum and I even made plans to visit more often. But it was not meant to be. Geh, this isn’t supposed to be a maudlin post. It’s a celebration of Grandpa’s life! How glorious it is to live simply, kindly and gently as he did.
The gallery has been updated with pics from last weekend’s trip to Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. It’s a beta set since I’m still waiting for B’s photos to come in. In the meantime… :)

I’m one of those who claim distaste for American-made cartoons. Undoubtedly, there are a few good laughs, but I just can’t seem to enjoy Shrek, The Incredibles or anything else Hollywood throws out. I don’t deny the fault probably lies with me. Whatever. :)
So it’s to my surprise that I had a delightful time catching Alvin and the Chipmunks, some crossbreed between live-action and 3d animation. It must be their squeaky little voices that burrowed their way into my heart.
