Rehi World!

Hello World!

In the many days since I last blogged properly, a lot, or nothing, has happened. :)

My exams went by and I’ve since returned to the office.

A dear friend got married, and I also had time to meet up with pals, former school mates and fellow otakus.

It was also a season to indulge. (Hello, credit card bill!)

I had actually planned to upload more photos but alas, my hdds are all over the place after trying to copy the 1TB of anime that G had brought to our pizza party. He’s amazing!

So I’ll end off with one of those random things KH and I started mulling over while skiving one day:

If you take an infant baby from say, 500 years ago, and plant him in today’s world, would he grow up just the same as everyone else?

Obviously, human evolution takes millions of years. So KH is right to think that our time-travellin’ infant would probably blend in.

But one can’t help contemplating that perhaps 500 years of improved health, diet and living conditions may play a part in filtering smarter kids and more accomplish athletes in present day. After all, we still keep breaking records, right?

I brought this question to J and she says it’s debatable too. Scientists of the past had dramatic fundamentals to discover, so the leading scientists of today–though not as exciting–may very well be just as smart, or smarter!

I think we ended up agreeing that a larger sample size is needed. Off to tinker with the time-machine now. :P
